Biography
2009: Redshirted...did not compete in any meets.
2008: Slowed during his sophomore year due to nagging injuries...competed in five of UE’s eight meets on the season, finishing four of them...turned in a season-best 8K time of 28:12.37 at the EIU Panther Open...best individual finish was 17th out of 56 runners at the Tennessee Tech Invite (28:21.00-8K).
2007: Competed in all eight meets as a freshman...finished in UE’s top seven for much of the season...ran fourth on the team at the Indiana Intercollegiates (27:28.81-8K)...turned in a personal-best 8K time of 26:50.93 at the UE Invitational...finished seventh out of 51 runners at the Tennessee Tech Invite to help UE to the team title.
Background: Earned four letters in cross country and track at Comstock Park High School...a two-time all-conference runner in the 44-team O-K Conference...a two-time team captain...earned the Hopkins Award, which is the highest award given to runners at Comstock Park...finalist for the Jansen Award, which is awarded to CPHS’s most outstanding senior athlete...majoring in exercise science.
