FALL 2024 (XC)
- Ran 25:08.0 in the 8K, placing 52nd at the MVC Cross Country Championships (Nov 1, 2024).
- Completed the 10K in 32:26.9, finishing 148th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional (Nov 15, 2024).
FALL 2023 (XC)
- Ran 26:28.6 in the 8K, placing 6th at the UE Invitational (Oct 15, 2022).
- Completed the 8K in 26:30.9, finishing 50th at the Louisville Classic (Oct 1, 2022).
- Clocked 26:56.7 in the 8K, placing 68th at the MVC Cross Country Championships (Oct 28, 2022).
FALL 2022 (XC)
- UE's number one runner as a sophomore
- Led the Purple Aces in each of the season's four cross country meets
- Finished a season-best sixth out of 59 runners at the UE Invitational with a personal-best 8-K time of 26:28.6 (10/15/22)
- Turned in a then-PR time of 26:30.9 to place 50th out of 412 runners at the Live In Lou Classic (10/1/22) two weeks earlier
- Also cracked the 27-minute mark at the 2022 MVC Championships with a time of 26:56.7 (10/28/22), which was 28 seconds faster than his 8-K time of 27:24.5 on the exact same course at the John McNichols Invitational six weeks earlier (9/17/22)
- Three of his four races were under 27 minutes, after not cracking the 27-minute mark in his first year at UE
FALL 2021 (XC)
- A key contributor in his freshman season who competed in all six meets.
- Ran second for UE in all six meets.
- Turned in a season-best 8-K time of 27:18.7 at the Live In Lou Cross Country Classic (10/2/21).
- Clocked in under 28 minutes in the 8-K in each of the first four meets of the year.
- Best individual finish of the year was a 12th-place finish at the UE Invitational (27:55.2 – 10/16/21).
- Clocked a personal-best 10-K time of 35:14.7 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships (11/12/21).
PREP
- Ran cross country and track at Saint Paul Central HS, while also playing basketball and ultimate frisbee
- Qualified for the state cross country meet as both a junior (2019-20) and senior (2020-21)
- All-Conference and All-Sectional in both cross country and track as a junior and senior
PERSONAL:
- Son of Bassou Oulgout and Xiao Hong Guo
- Has an older sister, Boran Ding
- His mother, Xiao Hong Guo, played basketball at Yunnan University in China (’81-85)
- Enjoys sports, music, art, fishing, linguistics and cooking
- A member of the Podcast Club in high school
- Most respects his parents because “they came from foreign countries and still succeeded.”
- Chose UE because of the “DPT 3+3 program and individualized learning”
