2019:  Senior continued to improve and set his PR’s in both the 5K and 8K events…ran a 15:04.9 at Austin Peay on his way to a season-best 3^rd place finish in the 5K event…in his final home event at the UE Invitational, ran his best 8K race, posting a 26:39.4 while finishing in 20^th…ran a strong 26:54 at the Fast Cats Classic, placing 27^th…recorded a 35:25.5 at the NCAA Regionals.
 
2018: Top finish of junior campaign was a second place at the Austin Peay Invitational…ran a 19:29 in the 6K race…came home sixth at the 8K Fast Cats Classic with a 27:11…top 8K time came at the UE Invitational where he finished in 21^st, recording a 26:55.

2017: Posted times in all seven races and was UE’s top finisher on five occasions…set his PR in the 8K UE Invitational, running a time of 27:33.0 on his way to a 16th place finish…opened the year with a 16:23.17 at the 5K Belmont Opener, finishing 22nd…took 24th at the John McNichols Invite with a time of 27:35.6…notched a season-best finish of 14th at Austin Peay with a time of 19:35.8.

2016: In his first season at UE, took part in all seven races…had his best 8K time at the Greater Louisville Classic, finishing the race in 28:16.63…started his career with a 28:55.66 in the 8K EIU Walt Crawford Open…came home in 20^th at the Austin Peay Invitational, which was a 4-mile races.

Prior to UE: Came to Evansville from Kenya where he played volleyball, hockey and ran cross country and track...top 8K run was a 24:55.

Personal: Is the son of Daniel Chepchieng and Leah Chesang...has five brothers and three sisters.
