2023-24:
- Took part in four meets during the 2023-24 campaign
- Opened the season by setting his personal bests in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives versus Valpo and USI
- His 1-meter score was a 303.23 while his 3-meter tally was a 285.15
- Posted his top 1-meter score in six dives against UIC and Missouri State on Jan. 26 with a 252.85
- Competed at the 2024 MVC Championships in both dives
- In the 1-meter, he took 10th in the prelims (248.65) before posting a 249.00 in the finals to finish 12th
- After taking 8th in the 3-meter prelims (280.95), he finished 6th in the finals with a score of 283.75
2022-23:
- Competed in all eight meets for UE as a freshman
- Posted four first-place finishes over the course of the year
- Won the three-meter competition at the A3 Performance Invitational with a season-best score of 303.90 (11/10/22)
- Also swept the one- and three-meter competitions against crosstown University of Southern Indiana to open his collegiate career (254.03 – one-meter and 247.35 – three meter on 10/14/22)
- Won the three-meter competition against USI and Eastern Illinois with a score of 258.20 (11/5/22)
- Posted a season-best one-meter score of 254.55 at the UIC Diving Invite (2/4/23)
- Placed 11th in the three-meter competition at the MAC Championships (3/3/23)
Prior To UE:
- An academic all-state diver from nearby Boonville High School
- Lettered four years in swimming & diving, four years in soccer, and one year in track in high school
- Named “Top Team Player” on his squad in high school
- Placed 15th in the state of Indiana as a senior
- Won the Evansville sectional championship as a senior
- Finished second in the Indiana regional meet as a senior with an 11-dive score of 449.55
- His best diving scores in high school were 300.15 for six dives and 558 for 11 dives
Personal:
- Son of Wesley and Mindi McKinney
- Has one brother (Caleb) and three sisters (Jordan, Jaidyn and Joell)
- Enjoys hunting, fishing, riding and dirt bikes
- Plans on majoring in Business Management at UE
