2022-23:
- Team Captain who finished his UE career in record-setting style
- Broke individual school records in the 50-, 100-, and 200-Yard Freestyle events, while also helping UE break school records in the 400-Yard Medley Relay and all three freestyle relay events as a senior
- Voted the 2023 Mid-American Conference Co-Outstanding Senior Of The Year in a vote of the league’s head coaches
- Earned Second Team All-MAC honors after finishing second on the team in scoring at the MAC Championships
- Broke UE’s 100-Yard Freestyle record (which had stood since 1999) as the lead leg of the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay at the A3 Performance Invitational with a time of 44.77 (11/12/22)
- He then bettered that record twice at the MAC Championships on the final day (3/4/23), posting times of 44.56 to place sixth overall in the 100-Yard Freestyle and 44.44 as the lead leg of UE’s school-record setting 400-Yard Freestyle Relay team (2:59.11)
- Broke UE’s 50-Yard Freestyle record as the lead-leg of UE’s 200-Yard Freestyle Relay school-record squad (1:21.29) with a split-time of 20.31 (3/2/23)
- Set the new school standard in the 200-Yard Freestyle as the lead-leg of the school-record 800-Yard Freestyle Relay team (6:39.32) at the MAC Championships with a split-time of 1:36.59 (3/1/23)
- Also placed second in the 200-Yard Freestyle event at the MAC Championships with a time of 1:36.72 (3/3/23)
- Qualified for the 2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championships in the 50-, 100-, and 200-Yard Freestyle events
- Placed 16th overall in the 200-Yard Freestyle with a finals time of 1:38.24 (3/11/23)
- Won both the 100- and 200-Yard Freestyle events, and placed second in the 100-Yard Butterfly in a season-best time of 50.37 on his “Senior Day” against Missouri State, UIC and Bellarmine
- Earned Academic All-MAC honors for the third year in a row for his work both in the pool and in the classroom
2021-22:
- Team Captain and named Team Most Valuable Swimmer as a junior
- Also earned the Mike Radomski #RockThePlanet Award for most inspirational and team spirit
- Qualified For The 2022 CSCAA National Invitational Championships
- Was a key part of UE’s four relay teams which set school records at both the MAC Championships and the CSCAA National Invitational Championships
- Swam the lead-leg – and posted a season-best time of 44.89 in the 100-Yard Freestyle – to help UE break the 400-Yard Freestyle Record by over four seconds at the MAC Championships (3/4/22)
- Swam the anchor leg to help UE break the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay school record (1:21.63) at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships – the previous record was set in 2001 by two UE Hall of Fame members
- Also swam the butterfly split of both the 200- and 400-Yard Medley Relay teams which set school records at the MAC Championships
- Set UE Wyttenbach Pool Records in both the 100-Yard Freestyle (45.85) and 400-Yard Freestyle Relay (3:06.60) events in UE’s dual-meet with Valparaiso (10/15/21)
- Also set the pool record at Eastern Illinois in the 200-Yard Freestyle (1:40.82) to open the season (10/9/21)
- Placed sixth in the 100-Yard Butterfly at the MAC Championships with a time of 48.63 (3/4/22)
- Also placed eighth in the 100-Yard Freestyle at the MAC Championships (45.17)
- Earned Academic All-MAC honors
- Finished fifth in the 50-meter (SCM) Butterfly event at the South African Short Course Championships (8/11-14/22) this past summer
2020-21:
- Posted a school-record time in the 100-Yard Butterfly (48.49) at the MAC Championships to place fourth overall (teammate Daniel Santos Lopez broke the record again in 2022)
- Also posted the second-fastest time in school history in the 200-Yard Freestyle by posting a time of 1:38.38 as the lead leg of UE’s 800-Yard Freestyle Relay squad at the MAC Championships (4/8-4/10/21)
- Competed in all five meets in the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season
- Unbeaten in the 100-Yard Butterfly in UE’s four regular-season meets
- Earned Academic All-MAC honors for his work both in the pool and in the classroom
2019-20:
- Finished as UE’s top sprint freestyle swimmer as a freshman
- Posted UE’s fastest 50-Yard Freestyle time of the season at 21.08 at the MAC Championships (3/4-3/7/20)
- Also swam UE’s fastest 100 Free time of the year at the MAC Championships at 45.58 – which, at the time, ranked second-fastest in school history
- Swam his fastest 200-Yard Freestyle time of the season of 1:41.39 at the SIU Invitational (11/15/19)
- Posted his fastest 100 Fly time of 49.33 at the SIU Invitational as well, which ranked as UE’s second-fastest time of the season
Prior to UE:
- One of the top youth swimmers in South Africa
- A gold medalist at the 2018 African Region V Championships
Personal:
- Son of Massimo and Tracy Di Domenico
- Has three older sisters – Daniella, Lisa, and Samantha
- Enjoys watching English Premier League soccer
- A Mechanical Engineering major at UE
