Biography

2017: Finished second in MVC with 20 stolen bases…started 37 games and played in 47…hit .234 while scoring 13 runs…scored two runs on 4/9 as UE finished off sweep of Drake…stole two bases in season debut versus SIUE…also had two in each game against Tennessee State.

2016: Finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference with 21 steals on the season…made 14 starts while playing in 42 games…had a season-high two hits in three trips to the plate in a 4-2 victory over Northern Kentucky…had two steals as the Aces earned a 6-5 triumph over UT Martin…stole two more bases in second game of doubleheader at Bradley…went 1-2 with a run scored and steal in a 5-3 win over Loyola.

2015: Made the start in 46 out of her 51 games played in 2015…all of her starts came in the outfield…was UE’s top threat on the base paths, swiping nine bases in 11 tries…hit .250 with 32 hits in 128 at-bats…scored 22 runs…started her UE career with a 2-3 effort with a walk and two runs scored vs. George Washington…totaled a season-high three hits on a 3-4 performance with two runs scored vs. Oklahoma State on Feb. 14…recorded two hits and a triple at Mercer…tied her season mark of three hits at UT Martin, going 3-4…notched two hits in three at-bats in final game of series at Missouri State.

At Somonauk: Kawall lettered in volleyball three years, basketball four years, and softball four years.  Played softball for Scott Siuda at Somonauk.  Played club ball for the Northern Illinois Thunder under coaches Perry Clark and Scott Kawall.  At Somonauk Kawall finished her career with an average of .584.  She holds records in both hit (209) and runs (169) at Somonauk for her career.  She also holds single season records in hits (77), stolen bases (59), runs (61), and consecutive hits (10).  Kawall earned all state honors in 2011, 2012, and, 2013.  While at Waubonsee Community College Kawall led the team in stolen bases, runs, hits, triples, avg., obp, and slg.  She an all conference first team selection at Waubonsee.  Hit .520 at Waubonsee which ranked 5th in the nation.
