Biography

2014: O’Conner finished the season with a .225 batting average, hitting two homeruns, 12 RBIs, hitting five doubles and scoring 15 runs in 111 at-bats. Kirsten was walked 15 times and had five sacrifice hits. The sophomore infielder stole two bases and recorded 57 putouts with a .947 fielding percentage.  

2013: Kirsten appeared in 44 games during her freshman season making 36 starts...she had 21 rbi's on the season and 3 homeruns on 111 at bats... her batting average for the season was .180 while having a slugging percentage of .306..Kirsten was 3 for 3 on stolen bases and had 14 put-outs on the season..she looks to have a much larger role during the 2014 season..

At Cowan: Named to the all-county and all-conference teams every year at Cowan…a member of the 2011 all-district team…named team Most Valuable Player as a junior…tallied 17 homeruns going into her senior season…also earned four letters in volleyball and two in basketball…twice named as an all-academic athlete…member of National Honor Society and involved in the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes program.

Personal: Daughter of Randy and Kim O’Conner…has two older brothers, Jacob and Justin… Justin was a first round draft pick for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2010….expects to major in physical therapy.
