Biography

2017: Played in 34 games while starting 32 primarily at third base…batted .184 with a homer, seven RBIs and five runs scored…was 1-2 with 2 RBIs and a run scored vs. Northwestern State…hit a home run in game two against SIU while drawing two walks.

2016: Fielded .977 on the season on her way to a berth on the MVC All-Defensive Team…made just three errors in 80 attempts while notching 49 put-outs…had two home runs on the season…was 1-1 with a double and three RBI in a 4-2 win over Northern Kentucky…in second game at Bradley, was 3-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored…the next day, hit another home run against the Braves.

2015: Started 31 out of her 32 games played…24 of those starts were at third base…batted .225 with 18 hits in 80 tries…finished the year with 11 RBIs and 12 walks…had one hit in each of her first three games of the season…totaled two RBIs on a 1-3 effort with a walk in season opener against George Washington…was 2-3 with an RBI, walk and a run scored vs. UAB…went 2-4 with two RBIs vs. Buffalo…followed that up with two more RBIs in the next game vs. UMKC as she hit her first home run of the season…notched two walks in games against Loyola and Southern Illinois.

2014: Susan was a solid infielder for the Purple Aces during the 2014 season. The freshman made most of her appearances at either third or first base and was terrific. She recorded 70 putouts and had 61 assists to go along with a .956 fielding percentage. On offense, Norris hit four home runs, had 16 RBIs and scored 14 runs. Norris hit .301 on the season and started 49 games for the Purple Aces.

Background: Named four-time All-Region 8 5A Selection and Gwinnett County Defensive Player of the Year…member of the 2012 ASA Georgia State Championship team…has been a long time player for the club team the Vipers under coach Ed Prance…older sister Lisa pitched at the University of North Carolina and is currently an assistant coach at the University of Maryland.
