Dre Litsey

Hired in August of 2025, Dre (Lit) Litsey begins his first season as Associate Head Coach in 2025-26.

Litsey comes to UE from NAIA Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D. In two years as an assistant coach, Litsey helped the Tigers rewrite the program’s record books with 28 new top ten school records posted. In 2023-24, his first season with the program, Litsey guided Taliyah Hayes to claim a spot in the program’s record books in three different events, qualify for NAIA Nationals in triple jump, and earn all-conference honors. In 2024-25, Litsey oversaw 11 student-athletes clam top ten performances in the indoor season and 12 during the outdoor season. Additionally, Litsey helped five Tigers earn all-conference recognition. 

Prior to his time with Dakota Wesleyan, Litsey spent 2022 and 2023 at Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., where he assisted Coach Katie Rees and Coach Val (Count) Holt, contributing to practice planning, budgeting, and player development. His coaching experience also includes a successful stint as throws coach at Onalaska Middle School in 2023.

Before beginning his career in coaching, Litsey competed in track & field at Coker University from 2016-2020 and Adelphi University from 2022-22. At Coker, Litsey set the program record in men’s heptathlon. 

Litsey earned his B.A. in Communications from Coker and received a Master’s in Sports Management at Adelphi.
