Spring 2021 (Outdoor):
- Competed in all six outdoor meets for UE as a junior.
- Earned MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors for his work both on the track and in the classroom.
- Set a new school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.48 at the Pacesetter Invitational (5/7/21).
- Ran the third leg of UE’s 4x100-meter relay team which placed seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships (5/14-16/21).
- Won the 110-meter hurdles at both the Sycamore Open (14.86 - 4/24/21) and the Bill Smith Challenge (15.09 – 3/27/21).
- Won both the 110-meter hurdles (14.94) and the long jump (6.62 meters | 21’8.75”) at the Kentucky Wesleyan Twilight Invitational (4/2/21).
- Won the long jump competition at the SIU Bill Cornell Invitational (3/19-20/21) with a personal-best mark of 6.83 meters (22’5”).
- Also finished second in the 110-meter hurdles at the SIU Bill Cornell Invitational with a time of 14.66.
Winter 2021 (Indoor):
- Competed in all three of UE’s indoor meets in the COVID-shortened winter season.
- Broke a more than 42-year-old school record and set a personal-best time in the 60-meter hurdles at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/26-28/21) while placing eighth in the conference with a time of 8.23.
- Also helped UE’s 4x400-meter relay team finish seventh in the MVC with a time of 3:29.11.
- Set UE’s school record in the indoor long jump with a leap of 6.64 meters (21’9.5”) at the EIU Friday Night Special (2/19/21).
- Also set a personal-best mark in the triple jump at the EIU Friday Night Special while placing second with a distance of 12.85 meters (42’2”).
- Finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the John Gartland Invitational (1/23/21) with a time of 8.76.
Spring 2020 (Outdoor):
- Outdoor season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Winter 2020 (Indoor):
- Competed in all five of UE’s indoor meets as a sophomore.
- Recorded a personal-best height of 1.85 meters (6’0.75”) in the high jump at the EIU John Craft Invitational (1/18/20).
- Won the 60-meter hurdle event at the Marshall Invitational (2/7-8-20) in a season-best time of 8.49.
- Also placed second in the high jump (1.80 meters | 5’10.75”) and fourth in the long jump (6.25 meters | 20’6.25”) at the Marshall Invitational.
- Placed 11th in the 60-meter hurdles at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/29-3/1/20) with a time of 8.56.
Spring 2019 (Outdoor):
- Ran both the 110- and 400-meter hurdles and competed in the high jump in all six outdoor meets as a freshman for UE.
- Placed 12th in the 110-meter hurdles at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/10-12/19) with a season-best time of 15.88.
- Set a personal-best mark of 59.36 in the 400-meter hurdles at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational (4/26-27/19).
- Also posted his best outdoor high jump mark of his freshman year at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational with a height of 1.81 meters (5’11.25”).
- Won the 110-meter hurdle event at the Kentucky Wesleyan Twilight Invitational (4/5/19) with a time of 16.19.
- Won both the 110-meter hurdle (15.93) and the 400-meter hurdle (1:03.10) events, while also placing second in the high jump (1.75 meters | 5’8.75”) at the Stan Lyons Invitational (3/16/19).
Winter 2019 (Indoor):
- Competed in all five of UE’s indoor meets.
- Finished 12th in the 60-meter hurdles at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/23-24/19) with a time of 8.89.
- Ran a season-best time of 8.82 in the 60-meter hurdles to place fourth overall at the Mastodon Invitational (1/19/19).
- Also placed fourth in the high jump at the Mastodon Invitational with a height of 1.80 meters (5’10.75”).
- Best indoor high jump height of his freshman year came at the Indianapolis Season Opener (12/1/18) when he jumped a height of 1.82 meters (5’11.5”).
Personal:
- Majoring in Civil Engineering at UE.
- Older brother of UE freshman Preston Riggs.
- High school teammate of Preston and junior Jackson Maurer at Gibson Southern High School.
- Ran for former UE standout Jeremy Aydt at Gibson Southern HS.
- A three-sport standout who played soccer, basketball and track and field at Gibson Southern HS.
- Advanced to the Indiana state track meet in both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles for the Titans as a senior (2018).
- Holds Gibson Southern outdoor track school records in both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles.
- An academic all-state selection in soccer in 2016.
