Biography
2006: Earned her third “Most Valuable Runner” award after leading UE in all eight meets...four Top 10 individual finishes, including winning the Mid-America Opener (15:13.5-4K)...ran a season-best 5K time of 18:29.53, finishing eighth at the Saluki Invite...also posted Top 10 finishes at the UAH/Fleet Feet Sports (5th-18:54.6) and the UE (9th-18:38.58) Invites...ran the fifth-fastest 6K in UE history at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional (22:56.28).
2005: UE’s “Most Valuable Runner”...led the team in all eight meets...became the first UE female runner to break the 18-minute barrier in the 5K at the State Farm MVC Championships, finishing 12th in a school-record time of 17:38...also posted the eighth-fastest 5K time on record at UE at the UE Invite (18:22)...ran UE’s eighth-fastest 6K time ever at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional (23:11)...three Top 10 finishes.
2004: UE’s “Most Valuable Runner”...led UE in eight of its nine meets...set new school records in the 4K (14:39) and 6K (22:02) at the UE Early Bird Invite and the NCAA Great Lakes Regional...captured Cross Country ONLY Schools All-America status by finishing fourth at the CC ONLY Nationals (22:25--6K)...posted the highest UE women’s finish ever at the State Farm MVC Championships, finishing 11th (18:43--5K).
Background: The 2003 Division II state cross country champion from Berlin High School...posted four Top 20 finishes, including two Top 10 finishes, in four trips to the state finals...undefeated her senior season at Berlin...also a state finalist in track...finished eighth in the 3,200-meters at the 2004 state finals...a mass communications major.
