Biography

2010 – Recipient of the 2010 Missouri Valley Conference Most Courageous Award...critically injured in a highway accident in her native Arizona on July 18...spent the next three months in the hospital and in rehab...flew from Phoenix to Omaha, Neb. in early November with her mother to be with the Aces for their MVC Tournament semifinal match against Creighton.

2009 – Made an immediate impact for the Aces in the midfield despite being one of the final additions to the UE roster... earned a place in the starting lineup during pre-season practice because of her skills and leadership...played in all 18 matches, and started 17...fourth on the team in goals (2) and points (5)...scored goals against Creighton and Morehead State, and assisted on Kaitlin Oldfield’s game-winner against Drake.

High School/Club – First team all-region and second team all-state selection as a senior at Ironwood High School...totaled 45 goals and 22 assists...helped lead Ironwood to one state title and one second place finish...also played for AzFC 90 Hammers...teammate in club soccer with UE's Sam Conrad.

Personal – April (Abby) Guerra...born December 11, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona...daughter of Sergio and Maria Guerra...has one older brother, David...majoring in nursing.
