Chris Cahill

Chris Cahill joined the University of Evansville women's soccer staff as assistant coach in March, 2011.  He will be utilized in all areas of the program.  Cahill comes to UE from Auburn University, where he served as a graduate assistant coach in 2009 and as volunteer assistant coach in 2010.
In the 2010 season at Auburn, Cahill helped the program to the SEC West title and an at-large pick to the NCAA Tournament. Under his direction, players also earned numerous post-season awards, including selections to All-America, topdrawersoccer.com, and first and second team All-SEC teams.

Cahill holds an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA (USSF "B" Equivalent) and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

"Chris is a great addition to our staff, and both James (assistant coach James Thorpe) and I are glad he is here," says Head Coach Krista McKendree. "Chris brings a wealth of knowledge, great personality, and new connections with him. I am looking forward to working with Chris and having him make a positive impact on our program."

A graduate of Georgia Southern University, where played as a defender from 2004-06,  Cahill spent two years as assistant boys' soccer coach at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga. before coming to Auburn.

At Harrison, Cahill implemented practice and game plans, assisted in the coaching and conditioning of student-athletes, and oversaw the camp staff and development of camp curriculum. Harrison was ranked No. 1 in the country for 12 weeks during the 2008 season, and won Regional championships in 2008 and 2009. Six players from the 2008 squad accepted Division I scholarships as the team went 28-4 overall and 17-1 in Region play.
