Biography
2020-21:
- Made the start in all 25 games as a graduate transfer
- Averaged 31.9 minutes per game, ranking 8th in the MVC
- Was a 45.3% shooter from 3-point range – with enough makes, that would have finished the season ranked fourth in the nation
- Led UE with 5.1 rebounds per game
- Opened UE career in his hometown of Louisville
- Set career highs in scoring (15), assists (4) and minutes (46) at UT Martin
- Recorded a double-double against the Skyhawks adding 10 rebounds (tying season mark)
- Followed that up with 11 points versus Eastern Illinois helping UE win first game of the season
- Averaged 9.0 rebounds in series at Southern Illinois while adding 10 in game two victory
- Top conference outing saw him total 11 points with six boards in victory over Valparaiso
Prior to UE:
- Most recently played at UNC Asheville where he was a 2019-20 Big South All-Academic performer
- Had a strong 11-point, 9-rebound game against The Citadel
- Began his college career at Purdue Fort Wayne where he started all 33 games as a sophomore in 2017-18
- Registered 5.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in sophomore campaign
- Played in 25 games as a freshman with the Mastodons
2019-20 (Redshirt Junior): Named to the Big South All-Academic Team … Appeared off the bench in 21 games for a total of 239 minutes … Averaged 1.0 point and 2.5 rebounds per game … Nearly recorded a double-double with season-highs in points (11) and rebounds (9) in a victory at The Citadel (11/9) … One of only two Bulldogs to score in double digits off the bench … Had three blocks at High Point (2/27), becoming just the second player on the roster with three blocks in a game … Pulled down seven rebounds in consecutive games against UT Martin (12/14) and Stetson (12/17).
2018-2019 (Junior):Â Did not see action due to NCAA Division I transfer rules; redshirted.
Prior to UNC Asheville:Â Levitch made his way to UNC Asheville after spending his first two seasons at Fort Wayne ... As a sophomore at Fort Wayne in the 2017-18 season, Levitch started all 33 games for the Mastodons ... He averaged 5.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game ... He shot 42 percent from the field overall and over 43 percent from beyond the arc ... Levitch scored a season-best 14 points to go along with six rebounds and one assist in Fort Wayne's 75-64 win over Liberty on Dec. 21, 2017, at the New Orleans Shootout ... As a freshman in the 2016-17 season, Levitch played in 25 games and was named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll for his efforts on the court and in the classroom.
High School:Â The younger brother of former Louisville men's basketball player David Levitch, Jax Levitch played his high school basketball at Trinity High School in Louisville, Ky. before spending a postgraduate year at the Elev8 Sports Institute ... Strong from beyond the arc, Levitch knocked down 44 three-pointers as a senior at Trinity High School.
