2007 – Co-captain in 2008 along with Kellee Widener...first team all-MVC midfielder in 2007...first team on the MVC Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete Team for the second year in a row...missed early season games because of an injury...skilled player both offensively and defensively...excellent distributor of the ball...strong at winning 50/50 balls...scored a goal against Drake and made assists vs. Western Illinois, UAB and Eastern Kentucky.

2006 – Second team all-MVC midfielder...first team MVC Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete ...ranked third in MVC and in top 50 nationally with eight assists...ranked fourth on the team and 10th in the MVC in total points with 12...scored a goal and made an assist in victories over Austin Peay and Troy.

2005 – MVC All-Freshman Team member…also named Honorable Mention all-MVC...tied for third on the team in assists with four…made her first career assist in her first collegiate match, a 3-1 win over Belmont August 26…also made assists against Western Illinois, Indiana State, and in MVC Tournament win at Missouri State...scored a goal in the 2-1 victory over USI in an exhibition match August 21.

High School/Club – Helped lead St. Joseph Academy to state title and mythical national championship...all-state, all-metro and all-conference midfielder...member of J.B. Marine’s Missouri state title teams in 2001, 2002 and 2004...ODP team reached national Final Four...High School coach–Maureen McVey...Club coach–Mike Twellman.

Personal – Julie Ann Winkler...born September 15, 1986 in St. Louis, Mo...daughter of Dale and Debbie Winkler...has one older sister, Amy...outstanding student who earned 2007-08 MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award...majoring in physical therapy.

Why UE? - "I wanted to major in physical therapy and play Division I soccer, and it seemed like a good fit for me."
