Biography
2008 – Second team all-Missouri Valley Conference...right side defender who combines good defensive skills with the ability to bring the ball forward...good tackler who helped the defense post six shutouts, the second most in school history...starter in all 57 of her collegiate matches...made the assists on game-winning goals against Morehead State and Kentucky, and in victories against Indiana State and Missouri State.
2007 – One of six players to start in all 18 matches...returned to her outside back position for the second consecutive year...helped UE shut out seven opponents, the most since 2000...very dependable defender...has the ability to start the Aces’ attack from her outside back position.
2006 – UE’s only member of the MVC All-Freshman Team...earned a starting position as an outside back in pre-season practice...combined good 1-v-1 skills and toughness...helped UE’s defense post four shutouts and hold the final four opponents to a total of only three goals.
High School/Club – Third team all-state as a senior at Central...first team all-city, all-SIAC and all-district as a junior and senior, and led Bears to state Final Four both years...totaled nine goals and seven assists as a senior...CHS’s Defensive MVP three times...also played for Evansville Elite.
Personal – Kasey Sue Kutzler...born Nov. 17, 1987 in Evansville, Ind...daughter of Keith and Sharon Kutzler...sister, Emily, was team captain on ‘05 UE soccer team and an ‘06 UE graduate; sister Kori is an ‘03 UE graduate...majoring in sociology.
