2016-17: Tkachenko was named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year as well as she finished her freshman season ranked 20th in region. Tkachenko finished her freshmen year with an overall singles record of 33-8…came on strong in fall debut, going 10-2 in singles and 2-7 in doubles play...took the singles win by going 3-0 at the Greater Cincinnati Invitational, her first appearance at UE…in dual matches during the spring season, Tkachenko finished strong with a record of 23-6…in MVC she went 6-1 on the season… first win came against St.Francis at No.2 singles as she took down Raksha Boda, 6-0, 6-2…throughout the season she saw action at flights one, and singles...had an overall record of incredible 22-6 playing at a flight No.2 in the spring season. Tkachenko’s doubles record for the year was 15-22…saw doubles actions with teammates Nicoli Pereira, Leah Helpinstine, Chieko Yamada, and Andrea Pascual-Larrinaga …her doubles record was 2-7 during fall tournament play, 14-16 in spring matches, and 4-3 in MVC play…saw action in flights one, two and three in doubles play.

Prior to UE: Makes her way to UE from Russia where she and her twin sister have played in a number of international ITF events...teamed up with her sister to post an 11-5 record in international ITF doubles play...she is ranked 1,688 in the world...was born in New Jersey and holds dual United State and Russian citizenships...won first Tennis Europe U16 Doubles title in 2013 in Sochi...won two Level 5 ITF Doubles Championships in 2015...7th in the u18 Russian Championship and had a ranking as high as 65.

Personal: Daughter of Alexey and Ludmila Tkachenko..has a brother and sister...born in Teaneck, New Jersey...sister Anastasia plays for University of Wyoming...major is Business Management.
