Biography
2014-15: Returned to the squad in 2014 and played well in the fall, going 3-1 in tournament singles and 2-2 in doubles...recorded doubles and singles wins in the final match of her career versus Bradley, earned the singles win, 6-0, 6-0 and teamed with Andjela Brguljan to win in doubles...Final records: Singles - 8-6, Doubles - 5-13, Tournament singles - 3-1, Tournament doubles - 2-2, Dual singles - 5-5, Dual doubles - 3-11.
2013-14: Did not play
2012-13: Showed strong improvement from her freshman to sophomore years...opened the fall with a 2-1 singles and doubles mark at the SIUE Fall Tournament...began dual singles action at 3-0 with wins over Charleston, Eastern Illinois and Lipscomb...went 5-2 in her final seven efforts while posting a 4-3 MVC singles mark...was an impressive 2-1 in the fourth flight, 6-2 in flight five and 4-4 in the sixth slot...following a loss to SIU, won three matches in a row, including a a three set win over Gabby Phillips of Illinois State...wrapped up the year with a victory over Amanda Noonan of Creighton...after going 1-4 in the first four dual doubles outings, went 8-8 over the remainder of the schedule...was 3-4 in MVC doubles matches...Final records: Tournament Singles - 4-5, Tournament Doubles - 3-4, Dual Singles - 12-8, Dual Doubles - 9-12.
2011-12: Tied for the team lead in the fall with four singles wins; went 4-5 in singles and 0-7 in doubles...posted a 2-1 mark at the MVC Individual Championship...saw extended singles action in the spring, going 10-10 while recording a 1-3 tally in doubles...came out strong, winning her first four singles matches and nine of her first 11 overall...eight of her nine wins came in two sets...was 5-2 at the No. 6 flight and 2-1 at No. 4.
High School: Had an extremely successful high school career, going undefeated in all four years in district competition...was a finalist in TAPPS 3A state competition in all four seasons of competition...was ranked in the top 40 in the 18 division in the state of Texas.
Personal: Gabrielle Fifer...born in Friendswood, Texas...daughter of Frank and Diane Fifer...has an older brother (Andrew) who plays professional hockey...majoring in mechanical engineering.
