Biography
2014-15: Completed her storied career with 86 doubles wins, tying for the most in program history...tied for the team lead with 20 singles wins while placing second on the squad with 18 doubles triumphs...after falling in her first two fall singles matches, she won three in a row and 9 of her next 11 going into the spring...in February, began a singles win streamk of seven in a row, capped off by a win over James Madison...went 7-3 in doubles tilts when teamed with Marketa Trousilova...was 3-0 in tournament doubles tilts with Andjela Brguljan...Final records: Singles - 20-10, Doubles - 18-10, Tournament singles - 6-4, Tournament doubles - 7-3, Dual singles - 14-6, Dual doubles - 11-7.
2013-14: Named MVC Women's Tennis Player of the Week on 4/1/14...rolled through the spring with Kelsey Costales at top doubles, going 12-5, duo went 1-0 in the fall...her overall doubles mark was 21-10...teamed with Marketa Trousilova to go 6-3 in tournament doubles...had an overall 13-17 singles mark, including 8-9 in flight two...posted a 5-6 tournament singles record...spring performance saw she and Costales win four out of six MVC matches and 5 out of 7 versus MVC opponents...won seven out of last nine with Costales...came on strong in singles, winning five out of her last eight matches...opened MVC play with a win at SIU, taking down Anita Lee, 1-6, 6-1, 7-5...also beat Erica Medlin of UNI, 6-1, 6-3. Final Records: Tournament Singles - 5-6, Tournament Doubles - 7-3, Dual Singles - 8-11, Dual Doubles - 14-7.
2012-13: Posted a solid sophomore season highlighted by a 17-3 mark at top doubles in dual play...her and Marketa Trousilova were named All-Conference at top doubles...teamed with Kelsey Costales to take second place in doubles at the Austin Peay Fall Tournament...went 2-1 en route to a third place finish in singles at the MVC Individual Championships...opened up singles dual play with a 7-3 mark...was 9-9 overall in dual singles with 17 of those coming at the top spot...topped Charleston in doubles with Kelsey Costales before going 16-3 with Marketa Trousilova in dual doubles in the spring...the duo went 6-1 in the MVC on their way to All-Conference honors...won ten matches in a row at one point, all doubles matches for the season came at No. 1...Final records: Tournament Singles - 4-4, Tournament Doubles - 5-3, Dual Singles - 9-9, Dual Doubles - 17-3.
2011-12: Finished freshman year with 24 doubles wins, tied for second all-time at UE...came on strong in fall debut, going 6-3 in doubles and 3-6 in singles...took the doubles win by going 3-0 at the BGSU Invitational, her first appearance at UE...opened the spring by winning her first six doubles and four singles matches...went 18-4 in doubles in the spring along with Dora Kotsiou while posting a 14-6 singles mark, playing primarily in the fifth slot, going 10-5...was a perfect 3-0 in the fourth flight...went 5-2 in doubles MVC action at the top spot and also picked up an 8-1 victory in the MVC Tournament...posted an identical 5-2 singles mark in the league.
High School: Was named MVP in sophomore through senior years at Ed W. Clark High School...won state doubles title with sister Iesha as a freshman while beein ranked in the top 14 in the nation...won Eazster Circuit in the Girl's 14 and under...placed third at Snowball Sectionals in the Girl's 18's...lost in the finals of a Supernationals in doubles with older sister.
Personal: Natasha James...daughter of Michael and Carol James...has an older sister, Iesha...native of Las Vegas...is a Chemistry/Pre-med major.
