Biography
2016-17: Pereira finished her freshmen year with an overall singles record of 9-20…in tournament play during the fall semester, she finished with a record of 4-3…in dual matches during the spring season, Pereira finished with a record of 5-17…in MVC she went 1-5 on the season… first win came against Duquesne at No.3 singles as she took down Zuzanna Stelmaszak, 7-5, 5-7, 10-7…throughout the season she saw action at flights one and three singles. Pereira’s doubles record for the year was 13-18…saw doubles actions with teammates Diana Tkachenko and Leah Helpingstine…her doubles record was 2-5 during fall tournament play, 11-13 in spring matches, and 4-3 in MVC play…saw action in flights one, two and three in doubles play.
Prior to UE: The highly successful junior tennis player from Brazil comes to Evansville where she has finished first our second in 13 Brazilian tournaments since 2012...also brings experience competing in ITF international events...has been ranked as high as #3 in Brazil for girls 18 and under.
Personal: Daughter of Jose Augusto Pereira Neto and Regiane Nunes Attili Pereira...has an older brother (Kaue) who played tennis for UNC Wilmington and Coastal Carolina...major is Visual Communications Design.
