Fall 2021:

• Recipient of MVC President’s Council Academic Excellence Award
• MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention
• Took part in 110 sets during senior campaign
• Named to Eagle Challenge All-Tournament Team after averaging 8.70 assists, 2.70 digs and 0.80 blocks per frame
• Set career mark with 34 assists and 15 attempts at Morehead State while setting season marks with two solo blocks and 13 digs in the contest
• Recorded 10 digs against Cleveland State on 9/4
• Top career tally of four block assists came in 9/17 triumph over Vikings
• Ranked 29^th in the MVC with 0.22 service aces per set
• Her top total of three aces came at Drake and at Bradley

Spring 2021:

• Played in all 20 matches and 74 sets overall
• Registered a career-high 16 digs on 2/22/21 against Bradley
• Had double figure digs in 10 matches during the spring and finished fourth on the squad with 2.41 digs per set
• With 3.58 assists per frame, she was second on the team
• Season mark of 27 helpers came against Bradley and she notched at least 10 assists in 15 matches
• Fourth for UE in service aces with 10; had a pair against the Sycamores and Braves

2019: Played in 106 sets as a sophomore and finished the year with 69 digs, 55 assists and 29 service aces…her 29 aces was second on the squad…opened the season with season-high 17 helpers against Jackson State while adding seven digs…had three aces against EIU before resetting her career high with four aces against Mercer on 9/21…tied season mark with seven digs against Drake and in MVC Championship versus Illinois State…had at least six assists in each of her final three matches of the season…posted three aces in MVC Championship against the Redbirds.

2018: Freshman saw time in 75 sets and made seven starts…tallied 219 assists, an average of 2.92 per set…top total of 32 came against Fairleigh Dickinson in her first week of action…added 30 helpers against Gardner-Webb…had two kills during the seasons…had eight service aces including three against Illinois State inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse…totaled 83 digs on the season with her mark of ten coming against Western Illinois; added nine in debut against Tennessee Tech.

Prior to UE: Thon is a native of Puerto Rico and will be a setter at UE...Thon earned a spot on the All-Star Team in volleyball on four occasions and was a 3-time participant in softball...She was an All-Star at the 2014 Jeep Volleyball Tournament and the 2017 Spring Challenge...Attended Academia Del Perpetuo Socorro where she earned four letters in volleyball, softball and track and field while also playing two seasons of beach volleyball…was the Most Valuable Player in volleyball, softball and track/field in each of her four seasons.

Personal: Daughter of Richard “Dickie” Thon and Maria Rauchle…has a brother and three sisters…comes from a family with a long history of success in athletics…father Dickie Thon enjoyed a long MLB career that saw him play for the California Angels, San Diego Padres, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers while being named to the 1983 All-Star Team…mother Maria played volleyball at the University of Puerto Rico before playing semi-professional volleyball…sister Soleil was a volleyball student-athlete at Rice University before playing in the Pro-Volleyball League in Puerto Rico…sister Vanessa played volleyball at the University of Tulsa before going on to play in the Pro-Volleyball League in Puerto Rico…sister Mariana was a volleyball player at the University of South Florida before playing as a pro in Puerto Rico…brother Richard has played baseball at the minor league level for the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals while playing on the Puerto Rico National Team and in the 2015 Pan-American Games in Toronto…is set to major in International Studies at UE.
