2016: Saw action in 56 sets while making eight starts…top effort saw her tally 11 kills in 18 attempts at home against Drake…had 17 block assists on the season, with her career-high of four coming against Drake.
2015: Saw action in 36 sets and made six starts in 2015…had career-high of four kills in road match at Illinois State…notched three kills against Bradley…posted 10 block assists, notching three apiece against Loyola and Southern Illinois.
2014: Made two starts as a freshman (New Hampshire and Morehead State) while playing a total of 12 sets…had a kill against New Hampshire…notched three block assists as a freshman…played all four sets at Kent State and all three in win at UNH.
Prior to UE: Earned three letters in volleyball, two in basketball and four in softball at Marion (Ill.) High School where she posted a perfect GPA…honors in volleyball included: First Team All-Conference, First Team All-South, First Team All-Region, First Team All-Area and All-State Honorable Mention…as a junior, she led her squad to a Regional Championship and a 32-4 record.
Personal: Daughter of Jay and Michelle Schafer…has a younger brother Cole…father played basketball at Southern Illinois from 1986-90…uncle John Blakeman played college football at Missouri before spending time in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons…majoring in Business Finance with a focus on legal studies.
