Stephanie Budde

Stephanie Budde enters her second season as the program’s graduate assistant coach.

“I am really happy to announce Stephanie as our new assistant coach,” said Swan. “She was a very successful setter at the Division I level and has experience coaching with Sports Performance in Chicago, likely the premier club in the country. “

“I wanted someone with a setting background and with her ties to the Chicago area she will be invaluable in our recruiting efforts,” added Swan. “She is a great hire for UE and our program.”

Budde comes to Evansville after a season-long stint as the head coach of a club team, 17 Runbird, at Sports Performance, which she guided to a ninth place finish at nationals.

Budde also gained coaching experience while a student-athlete at Central Michigan University, working summer camps and clinics throughout her four years.

As a player, Budde was a two-year team captain and a second team All-MAC selection in 2008. She was recognized as a Dick Enberg Award finalist and finished her career ranked 10th in total assists by a Chippewa. Budde also attended the 2009 National Team tryouts in Colorado.

A native of Joliet, Ill., Budde majored in health fitness and minored in psychology at Central Michigan University, receiving her degree in 2010. While at UE, she will be pursuing her masters in health administration.
