Sunny Park joined the University of Evansville in 2014 and was later promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance. He is directly responsible for the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the UE athletic programs.

From 2012-2013, Park was the Athletic Performance Intern for the San Antonio Spurs. During that time he also oversaw the design and implementation of the athletic performance program for the Austin Toros of the NBDL and served as the Head Athletic Performance Coach for the Spurs 2013 Summer League team. Prior to that, he was a Graduate Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Texas where he assisted with both men’s and women’s basketball from 2010-2012. From 2006-2010 he was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at PROformance – The Athlete’s Gym (Toronto, Canada) where he worked with professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes competing in a variety of sports (i.e., hockey, tennis, soccer, rowing, skiing, golf, lacrosse).

Park has also spent time as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Canada Basketball’s Senior Men’s National Team (2012, 2013) and as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for varsity boy’s basketball at William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute (2014).

Park graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University (Toronto, Canada) in 2008 and a Masters of Education in Sports Science and Nutrition from the University of Texas in 2011. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
