Dr. Mark Davis serves as Faculty Representative with UE Athletics.

Mark received his Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Vincent College in 1988, a masters in biology from Duquesne University in 1993, a masters in microbiology from the University of Illinois in 1995 and a doctorate in molecular microbiology from the University of Illinois in 1998.  In 1998, he began working at the University of Evansville in the Biology Department.  He has served on numerous committees at UE including Faculty Senate (chair 2012), Fiscal Affairs, and Pre-Professional Committee.  In 2013, he was appointed Faculty Athletic Representative to the NCAA and MVC.  
 
Dr. Davis' research areas include fatty acid synthesis in bacteria, adenovirus detection, and microbiology teaching techniques.  
 
He served as MVC President and Chair of the joint committee in 2015-16. He has also served or is serving on the long-range planning and legislative review committees.  In addition to MVC committees, Mark has served on the NCAA Research Committee from 2015-2019.
