Floyd King serves as the Director of Sports Performance at the University of Evansville, a role he assumed in June 2026 following a successful first full academic year with the department. He leads performance development and oversees Sports Performance for Baseball, Women’s Soccer, and Golf.

During his first year with UE, King played a supporting role in the development of multiple Evansville Baseball student-athletes who earned Missouri Valley Conference postseason honors. The group included a conference Freshman of the Year, a First Team All-Conference selection, multiple Honorable Mention honorees, and All-Defensive Team selections.

In women’s soccer, King played a supporting role in the development of student-athletes on a team that achieved its highest win total since 2021 while producing four All-MVC honorees. The group included athletes who earned Second Team and Third Team All-Conference recognition, multiple conference weekly awards, and an All-Freshman Team selection.

Before arriving at Evansville, King served as a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant at Idaho State University, directing strength and conditioning for Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Cross Country while supporting all Olympic sports. During his time at ISU, he contributed to the development of multiple All-Big Sky honorees, ITA Scholar-Athletes, and student-athletes who set indoor and outdoor school records.

King began his coaching career at UW–Milwaukee, supporting Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Soccer, followed by an internship at NX Level Sports Performance, where he assisted in the offseason preparation of elite NFL athletes, including All-Pros and a Defensive Player of the Year. He later worked with Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Women’s Lacrosse at Marquette University, and completed a professional internship at the University of Minnesota, supporting NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey and contributing to the development of NHL, PWHL, and Olympic athletes.

A former collegiate rugby athlete at Lindenwood University–Belleville, King earned recognition as a GRR Top 150 athlete, a Collegiate All-Star, and competed for multiple high-performance rugby teams across the United States, elevating his competitive experience at regional and national levels.

Originally from the Oneida Nation Reservation in Wisconsin, King holds a Master of Arts in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from UW–Milwaukee. He is supported by his late father, William, his mother, Shannon, his uncle Jeff, his siblings—Yasiman, Leon, Maicy, and Hudson—and his companion, Camdyn.
