University of Evansville Athletics

Morgan McDowell joined the University of Evansville as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics in June 2022 . McDowell has been involved in college sports information and athletics media relations since 2014.
 
McDowell comes to UE after working game days with the University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana. She worked to keep stats for various programs at both institutions since moving back to the area in 2020.
 
Along with splitting time as a statistician for UE and USI, McDowell also assisted the Ohio Valley Conference and the NCAA during their basketball tournaments at the Ford Center in Evansville, serving as a social media manager and statistician, respectively.
 
She received her Masters degree in Higher Education Administration in 2021 from Southeast Missouri State University while serving as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications within the Athletic Department.
 
McDowell was hired at SEMO in March 2018. Harding served as the primary contact for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball and Baseball. In addition, she assisted with coverage for all other sports offered.
 
She graduated from Murray State University in 2017, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations / Sports Communication. While at MSU, McDowell worked in the Media Relations office as a student worker. McDowell worked with all sports at Murray State and even served as the secondary contact for Football. In 2016, she served as the primary contact for Women’s Soccer as a junior.
 
McDowell is originally from Newburgh, and currently resides there with her husband Mike and their son Maverick.
