After finishing as runner-up in last weekend's Green Bay Nike Invitational, the University of Evansville men's soccer team has climbed into the top 10 in this week's NSCAA/Adidas Midwest Region rankings.

"Our expectations have changed a lot from last year at this time," said Head Coach Mike Jacobs. "We now expect to be ranked in the top 10 in the Region.  We certainly appreciate the recognition from our peers and opponents who vote in the poll.  Saying that, we look to celebrate honors and accolades at the end of the season."

The Aces defeated Denver 2-1 and lost to host Green Bay 3-2 last weekend.  Now 3-3-0, Evansville hosts the 20th ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic this Friday and Sunday at UE's Black Beauty Field.  Memphis, ranked #5 in the Midwest Region this week, plays IPFW in the 5:00 match Friday, followed by #10 Evansville against Mercer University at 7:30.  On Sunday, Memphis plays Mercer at 12 noon and the Aces take on IPFW at 2:30.
