GREEN BAY, Wis. -- One day after making a strong comeback to win, the University of Evansville men's soccer team ended up on the other side Sunday afternoon.

The Aces built a 2-0 halftime lead, but it wasn't enough as host Green Bay came back to defeat runnerup Evansville 3-2 in the championship of the Green Bay Nike Invitational.

Senior forward Cory Elenio, junior midfielder Reggie Edu and junior defender Kipp Erskine made the all-tournament team from Evansville, which beat Denver 2-1 in the first round Saturday.

"We're a very young team and I thought we wore down physically and mentally in the second half," said Coach Mike Jacobs.  "I told our guys at halftime that the most mentally strong team would win.  Give Green Bay credit.  They played very well in the second half."

Robby Lynch scored his first collegiate goal  following Cory Elenio's corner kick to put Evansville up 1-0 in the eighth minute.  The lead went to 2-0 at 34:30 when Elenio's rebound shot found the back of the net.  David Znaty scored the first Green Bay goal in the 52nd minute and teammate Dan O'Brien, the tournament MVP, tied the match just three minutes later.  The game-winner came from Tyler Rosenberg at 71:06.

Both teams took 13 shots.  Green Bay put nine on goal against UE keeper Alec Dufty, and the Aces had four shots on goal against Adam Stikl.  UE is now 3-3-0.  Green Bay is 3-2-1.

The Aces play Friday against Mercer at 7:30 in the opening round of the 20th ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic at Black Beauty Field.  Memphis takes on IPFW at 5:00 in the tourney opener.
