Aces' Swim And Dive Team Defeated At Missouri State

The University of Evansville swim team finished strong Friday at Missouri State but the Bears were to much for the Aces defeating the women 126-96 and the men 126-100.

For the women, Christina Schmidgall picked up the win in the 500 free with a time of 5:11.56. Taryn Brelage finished first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:12.09. The 200 free relay team of Schmidgall, Colleen Ward, Kaitlyn Sluka, and Anna Luecke placed first with a time of 1:44.11. On the diving board, Jennifer Childers won the three meter diving event with a score of 205.58.

On the men's side, Chris Nash picked up the win in the 500 free with a time of 5:06.81 and Derek Bifulco won the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.16. The 200 free relay team of Zach Brown, James Nash, Zach Kanet and Chris Nash placed first with a time of 1:29.66. Andy Balczo finished on top in the three meter diving with a score of 208.73.

The Aces will return to Wyttenbach Pool tomorrow for their final home meet of the season. The Aces' nine seniors will be honored at the 1 p.m. meet.
