Aces Win On Senior Night

Meet Results


The University of Evansville swim team celebrated a win on senior night Saturday. The Aces defeated Rose-Hulman and Vincennes in a triangular meet at Wytennbach Pool.

 
Nicole Uhrin led the women with wins in the 200 butterfly (1:00.57) and the 500 free (5:28.32). Also placing first for the women were Christina Schmidgall in the 1000 free (10:46.40), Anna Luecke in the 200 free (2:03.47), Lisa Murphy in the 50 free (26.98), Colleen Ward in the 200 IM (2:23.72), Kaitlyn Sluka in the 100 free (59.48), and Diane Threlkeld in the 100 back (1:05.43). On the diving board, Jennifer Childers won the one and three meter diving events with scores of 227.90 and 226.30, respectively.
 
Phil Lubbehusen and James Nash led the men with two wins each. Lubbehusen had wins in the 50 free (23.12) and the 100 breast (1:03.32). Nash placed first in the 200 IM (1:58.41) and the 100 back (54.08). Chris Nash won the 200 free (1:48.93). Zach Brown picked up a victory in the 100 free (47.19) and Will Spradley got the win in the 500 free (5:03.74). Geoff Keller won the one meter diving with a score of 247.75 and Jared Thompson picked up the victory on the three-meter board with a score of 228.75.
 
The Aces will wrap up their regular season schedule at Southern Illinois on February 2 for a 12 p.m. meet.
