Meet Results
OXFORD, Ohio—The University of Evansville men’s swimming and diving team competed in a meet with Miami University on Saturday at Corwin Nixon Aquatic Center. Miami came out on top in the meet with 148 points to Evansville’s 84.
"I'm very happy with the men's performance as a team," said head coach Rickey Perkins. "It was very nice to see how consistent they were. We will head home and hopefully have a good conference meet coming up."
The Aces brought home three victories in the meet. Freshmen
Bryan Hamann and
Colin Gray picked up a wins in the 1000 free and 200 breast, respectively. Hamann won with a time of 10:21.37, while Gray swam to a time of 2:15.82.
Josh Fletcher had the third win of the day with a score of 233.71 in the three-meter dive.
James Nash had two second place finishes during the day in the 50 free and 100 free.
Brandon Long finished just behind Hamann in the 1000 free with a time of 10:29.05. Jacob Harrington picked up a second place finish in the 400 IM before securing third position in the 500 free later in the meet.
Chris Nash finished second in the 200 back and third in the 200 free.
The Aces will return to action on October 24 at Wyttenbach Pool for a meet with Missouri State at 4 p.m.
