Three Aces Named To All-Tournament Team

AUBURN, Ala.--Senior Jacki Bradley and sophomores Jennifer McKee and Krista Price were named to the Tiger Invitational All-Tournament team for their efforts over the weekend leading the Aces to a 4-1 record in the tournament in Auburn, Ala.
 
Bradley picked up the final win for the Aces, pitching a complete game against Marshall Sunday morning, giving up one run on three hits while striking out six. At the plate, Bradley was 6-for-13 with seven RBI on the weekend. Against McNeese State, Bradley was 2-for-2 with two RBI and two stolen bases. Bradley went 3-for-4 against Gardner-Webb with a double and four RBI in the game.
 
McKee pitched two of the Aces’ four wins in the tournament with wins over Furman and Gardner-Webb. She allowed one run and struck out eight, while opposing teams hit just .152 off the sophomore in the two games. In the opening game of the tournament, McKee pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out six batters as the Aces defeated Furman 4-0 Friday afternoon. McKee also pitched a complete game against Gardner-Webb and only allowed one run on six hits.
 
Price had some timely hits and went 6-for-15 in the tournament with seven RBI for the Aces. Price drove in three of the Aces’ four runs against Furman with a three-run home run to score Kristen Shirk and Brittany Herald. Price scored three runs for the Aces against McNeese and hit a three-run double to account for the other three Aces’ runs on the day. Price scored two runs and had a base hit against Gardner-Webb. The sophomore also had the only RBI hit of the day against Marshall.
 
The Aces will return to action at the Memphis Tournament Feb. 22-24 in Memphis, Tenn. The Aces first opponent will be Memphis on Friday with the first pitch schedule at 2:15 p.m.
