Schedule updated as UE softball plays host to UNI

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Schedule changes have been announced for the weekend series between the University of Evansville softball team and UNI. Friday's doubleheader has been shifted to a 12 p.m. start while Saturday's game will now begin at 11 a.m.

Major Accomplishments
- Evansville is coming off a 3-game road sweep at Drake over the weekend
- It marked the first MVC sweep since 2024, the first road sweep since 2019, and the first time winning three consecutive conference series since 2016
- Through 14 league games, the Purple Aces are 8-6, which is the best MVC start since 2017 when UE opened at 10-6
 
Another Multi-Hit Effort
- Prior to the Drake series, Taylor Howe went nine games without recording multiple hits, but over the last four games, she has done so on three occasions
- With eight hits in her last 15 at-bats, Howe has seen her batting average rise to .323
- In the opening game at Drake, Howe matched her career high with four hits as she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored
- Howe has scored a team-high 28 runs, which is tied for 9th in the Valley
- In the series finale at Drake, Howe hit her first home run of the season while batting .545 (6-of-11) in the 3-game series sweep
 
Over .400
- Going 7-for-11 over her last three games, Niki Bode has seen her batting average rise to .407, which puts her fourth in the MVC
- Over that time, she has added four runs and four RBI
- Bode's efforts against Valley foes has been even better as she is batting .435
- She went 5-for-8 from the plate in the final two games of the Drake series while hitting her first home run of the season in the finale
 
Two More Homers
- Brooke Voss added two more home runs to her season tally in the series sweep at Drake and is tied for 6th in the MVC with eight on the season
- Other stat rankings for Voss include total bases (8th | 63), slugging percentage (17th | .600), runs (T12th | 26), extra-base hits (T-11th | 14)
- Voss, who is batting .295, had her 7-game hit streak snapped against Bellarmine but reached on a walk and scored a run in the contest
