OMAHA, Neb. -- Freshman Maggie Wood led the University of Evansville golf team with a 79 Monday afternoon in the second round of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Tournament at Oak Hills Country Club.
Illinois State has a one stroke lead over Southern Illinois going into Tuesday's final round, and Illinois State's Tiffany Hockensmith is the 36-hole leader at 7-over-par 149. Evansville is ninth as a team, led by senior Crissy Higgins in 21st place with rounds of 76 and 85 for a 36-hole score of 161.
