Ohio natives Katie Streck and Anthony McGuire are the newest members to the University of Evansville staff, joining the Aces as external affairs interns in the athletics department for 2008-09.

Streck and McGuire will work closely with the UE athletics department administration in the areas of ticket office operations, marketing plan development and execution, event planning, and game presentation and operations.

Streck received her bachelor’s degree in sports administration from Wilmington College in May. The Dayton, Ohio native was a State Farm All-American and was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year in basketball while also being named all-conference in golf. Before coming to UE, Streck interned for the Miami Valley Golf Associatioin and WDTN Channel 2 sports department.

McGuire, a Milford, Ohio native, comes to UE after graduating from Ohio University in May with a bachelor’s degree in sport administration. McGuire was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and volunteered in the Ohio University ticketing office. Prior to UE, McGuire interned with Reach Event Marketing, Western and Southern Masters tournaments, and Women’s Open Tennis tournaments.
