Jessica Jetton has been promoted to assistant director of compliance in the University of Evansville athletics department.
Jetton formerly held the position of assistant to the director of compliance in UE athletics. Jetton will continue to work closely with Associate Director of Athletics Sarah Solinsky to ensure UE’s compliance with NCAA rules. She also oversees the Beeler Family Athletics Academic Center and student-athlete services.
“I was afforded a wide variety of experiences and responsibilities last year,” Jetton said. “I am looking forward to continuing to work with the student-athletes and coaches at UE.”
A standout tennis player and 2005 UE graduate, Jetton was a two-time winner of the Ida Stieler Award, given each year to the Purple Aces' most outstanding female athlete. She was also a finalist for the Women's At-Large Academic All-America Team in 2005. She ranks second in school history with 157 wins after compiling a 23-6 record at number one singles in her senior year. Jetton was first team all-Missouri Valley Conference and first team MVC Scholar-Athlete three years in a row. Following graduation, she earned a master's degree in accounting at the University of Illinois, and earned a CPA license. Jetton spent two years as an auditor at Ernst & Young in St. Louis before returning to the University of Evansville.
