The University of Evansville swimming & diving team is currently ranked in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Mid-Major Division I Poll with the men’s team tied for 23rd and the women’s team receiving votes.

“It’s very exciting to be ranked, especially this early in the season,” said Evansville head coach Rickey Perkins. “We will continue to work hard to stay ranked throughout the season, but we still have a long way to go.”

The rankings are decided after each team submits its two best times for each event. A computer system then calculates the times into points where the scores are then placed highest to lowest for the poll. The men’s team currently has 187.8 points and is tied with Drexel.

The Aces return to the pool on Friday and Saturday, as the team travels to Saint Louis to participate in the Washington University Invite.
