For the second time this season, University of Evansville men’s basketball freshman Colt Ryan (Batesville, Ind./Batesville) has been named the Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts on Tuesday at Western Kentucky.

Ryan scored a season-high 23 points to lead the Purple Aces against the Hilltoppers on Tuesday thanks to 9-of-19 shooting from the floor and 4-of-8 shooting from three-point range. He also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and swiped a steal in 36 minutes of action.

The award is Ryan's second Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season, as he also earned the award on November 17. Overall, Ryan currently leads the Purple Aces and ranks third in the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring at 15.9 points per game. Ryan and the Purple Aces will return to action next on Thursday night, as UE will welcome Georgia Southern to Roberts Stadium for a non-conference contest. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. and Thursday's game can be heard live on the Aces' Radio Network and seen live on-line on AcesTV on GoPurpleAces.com.
