Aces To Host Colon Cancer Awareness Game With Indiana

3/31/2009 11:41:20 AM

The University of Evansville softball team will host Indiana University for a single game on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The Aces will be observing Colon Cancer Awareness month during the game and will have several promotions during the game.

The event is special to the Aces. Tari McKee, the mother of junior Jen McKee, will be tossing out the first pitch. Gene Watson will also throw out the first pitch and will be representing the American Cancer Society. The Aces will be wearing royal blue T-shirts as game jerseys, which were designed by McKee.

The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative tumbler, and the first 50 fans will receive an Aces' rally towel. Information on colon cancer will be available and donations will be taken for the American Cancer Society.
