EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville softball team will travel to the South Florida Under Armour Invitational this weekend in Clearwater, Fla. before beginning conference play next week. Sixteen teams are slated to participate in the three-day tournament.
The Aces have not played since February 22 against Rutgers in which they took a 2-1 victory in extra innings over the Scarlet Knights at the Mississippi State Bulldog Classic. For their efforts, Krista Price, Jennifer Stahlhut, and Kristen Shirk were named to the all-tournament team.
Last weekend’s action at the Memphis Blues City Classic was cancelled to do cold weather and temperatures in the area.
The Aces will meet Loyola-Chicago in the first game on Friday at noon followed by St. Bonaventure at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the first game will be against UConn. For more information on the tournament,
