EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville softball team will wrap up an 11-game homestand as they host Missouri Valley Conference opponent Bradley this weekend. The Aces and Braves will meet in a doubleheader on Friday at 2 p.m. and conclude with a single game on Sunday at noon at Cooper Stadium.
The Aces are still looking for their first conference win and will try to snap a season-long seven game skid. The Aces dropped their midweek doubleheader to Eastern Illinois with a pair of 6-3 losses.
Krista Price continues to lead the Aces hitting .368 with a conference-leading 12 doubles and team-leading seven home runs. Jen Stahlhut paces the team in conference play hitting .426 and is second in the conference with 11 doubles.
Bradley enters the weekend at 15-16 overall with a record of 6-4 in the Missouri
Valley Conference. The Braves earned a weekend split with first-place Creighton and dropped their game, 4-0, to SIU-Edwardsville on Tuesday. Miriam Wegmann hitting .333 with five doubles and eight RBI leads the Braves. Ashley Birdsong anchors the pitching staff with a 9-6 record.
Following this weekend’s games, the Aces will travel to Ohio State for a midweek game at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
