For the second year in a row, the University of Evansville men's soccer program has a recruiting class ranked among the nation's top 40 by College Soccer News. Head coach Mike Jacobs' 2009 newcomers are listed #1 in the Missouri Valley Conference and #36 nationally in the College Soccer News rankings. UE is one of 28 schools to make the College Soccer News Top 40 in both 2008 and 2009.

The College Soccer News compilation listed defender/midfielder Aaron Henkle, forward Tyler Kincaid and forward Gavin Chura as standouts among the Aces' eight new players. Henkle is a transfer from the University of Akron, Kincaid is a transfer from St. Joseph's (Ind.) College and Chura is a freshman from Fort Wayne, Ind. Earlier this summer, TopDrawerSoccer.com listed Evansville's incoming class #1 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Aces begin pre-season training Friday, and play their first exhibition match August 22 against UE alumni at 5:00. The regular season opener is Sept. 1 at home against Southern Illinois Edwardsville.
