Mark Prizant, who has coached at the youth and collegiate levels for the past eight years, has joined the University of Evansville men's soccer coaching staff as volunteer assistant coach.

“I am really excited to be able to add Mark Prizant to our coaching staff,” said Head Coach Mike Jacobs. “He was the first player I recruited when I started out on my first head coaching job years ago at Iona College, and is someone who I have remained in close contact with over the years. Mark has had some great experiences at the collegiate and youth levels, and I know that he will contribute to our coaching staff here at the University of Evansville.”

Prizant served as head coach at State University of New York at Old Westbury from 2001-2004, as associate director of coaching for Alabama Youth Soccer in 2005-06 and 2008-09, and as executive director of soccer operations for the Cape Coral (Fla.) Soccer Association in 2006-07. A graduate of Hofstra University, Prizant has a USSF 'A' Coaching License, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, and NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.

Mark and his wife, Leslie, have three children–-Darion, Alik, and Taylor.
