The University of Evansville swim team will be conducting swimming lessons this fall for all skill levels for children between the ages of three to eighth grade and adults over the age of 20 years old.
“We want to teach a life-long health skill to the Evansville community,” said Evansville head coach Rickey Perkins. “Our main goal is to promote safety and health. Through our training, we want to teach kids to swim.”
Both the men and the women swim teams will be teaching group and private lessons. Group lessons will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 15 until October 8 at 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. The cost for eight lessons is $100. Private lessons will be held on Sundays starting September 13 and lasting until October 25 at 2:00, 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. The cost for a private session in $20 per lesson.
The deadline to schedule group lessons is Friday, September 4 while private lessons need to be scheduled one week in advance.
