Every day seems to bring a new honor for Tom Irvin. Today, the soccer player from Collinsville, Ill. was chosen to receive the Prairie Farms Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week award. Yesterday, he earned the University of Evansville Student-Athlete Of The Week honor. The junior forward was chosen Saturday as Most Valuable Player at the Bradley Soccer Classic, and on Monday was chosen as Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

All of the accolades are a result of Irvin's six-point performance last weekend at Peoria. Irvin scored twice and assisted on a third goal in Evansville's 4-1 win over Xavier on Friday, and made another assist in Saturday's 2-0 win over Western Michigan. UE won the tournament by goal differential over runnerup Bradley, which also won twice. Irvin now leads the Aces in scoring with two goals and three assists for seven points.

Evansville hosts the 22nd ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic this weekend, with matches Friday against IUPUI at 7:30 and Sunday against Stony Brook at 2:30. Eastern Illinois is the fourth team in the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic.
