GERMANTOWN, Tenn. -- Led by Maggie Wood's 4-over-par 76, the University of Evansville women's golf team cut 19 strokes off its first round score by shooting 326 today in the final round of the Memphis Invitational at Ridgeway Country Club.
Wood finished 19th in the field of 95 golfers in the Aces' last tournament of the fall season. Lauren Ellerman was second best today and in the tournament for Evansville, carding an 82 to finish at 166 for the 36 holes. Illinois won the event with a score of 615. UE finished 16th at 671. Co-medalists were Vicky Correa of Southern Mississippi and Erika Thornton of Mississippi State at 3-over-par 147.
