The University of Evansville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host Eastern Illinois in a dual meet Wednesday at Wyttenbach Pool in UE’s Carson Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

“We feel really confident going into the meet,” said head coach Rickey Perkins. “We’ve had a great past two weeks of training and the team has responded well to everything that we’ve thrown at them. I think as long as we show up to compete we will do very well.”

The matchup will mark the eighth year in a row that UE has swam against Eastern Illinois.

“There’s definitely a rivalry between us,” added Perkins. “Especially on the men’s side.”

The women were victorious against EIU in last year’s meet, winning by a score of 162-100. On the men’s side, the Panthers slipped past the Aces with a final score of 153-109.
