EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The Fox Soccer Channel seems to bring out the best in the University of Evansville soccer team.  The Aces broke a three-match losing streak in a big way at McCutchan Stadium Friday night, defeating Missouri Valley Conference rival Eastern Illinois 3-0 in front of the national television cameras.  It was Evansville's second consecutive year on FSC; last October the Aces beat nationally ranked Drake.

Friday's match was dominated by Evansville (6-9-1, 2-4-0) from the start, but the Aces didn't break through against the Panthers (4-10-1, 1-4-1) until the 31:08 mark when Tyler Kincaid skidded a shot from 15 yards off the far post and into the goal past EIU goalkeeper Sean Molony.  Kincaid doubled his season total in goals at 59:17 with his second of the night and fourth of the season when he took advantage of a scramble following a Mike Luttrull corner kick and headed in a shot past EIU backup keeper Tyler Kelley.  Kelley entered the match late in the first half following a collision between Molony and teammate Mike Picinich that caused both to miss the rest of the game.

The Aces put the game away at 66:02 when Blake Schneider lofted a ball from 30 yards to the far post, where Tom Irvin got a toe on it and chipped it into the back of the net.  The three goals were the most by Evansville since a 4-1 win over Belmont Sept. 15.

UE finished with 31 shots, and put 10 on goal.  Philip Manga came off the bench to lead Evansville with seven shots, and Robby Lynch added five.  Eastern Illinois got off 11 shots, two on goal.

The Aces finish the regular season next Saturday at home against Central Arkansas on Senior Day.  A victory sends UE into the six-team State Farm MVC Tournament at Peoria, Ill. the following week.
