The University of Evansville athletics department and the AcesTV staff and student workers are mourning the loss today of Mandy Ruoff, a senior at UE who was a member of the AcesTV staff this semester.

Ruoff, a senior sports management major, passed away early Sunday morning.  According to the coroner's officer, "there is no reason to believe (Amanda's) death was of anything other than natural causes," pending the results of an autopsy scheduled for Monday.

Ruoff was an active member of the AcesTV student staff, working both with the live video streaming of games and the Inside Aces Soccer program.  Ruoff was hard at work on the final episode of Inside Aces Soccer over the past few weeks, a look at the men's soccer program's rich history and tradition.

"Mandy will definitely be missed," said Tom Benson, director of the AcesTV program.  "She was someone who always made your day better.  She would always come to work with a smile on her face and a great willingness to learn and to work hard.  I know that our staff will miss Mandy and our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Mandy's family and friends."

A prayer service will be held for Ruoff in Neu Chapel on Monday night at 9:00 p.m.
